Plan Description
This single-story residence is a masterful blend of rustic texture and clean modern lines, offering a sophisticated interpretation of the craftsman-cottage style. The front elevation immediately establishes a sense of permanence and warmth, anchored by a rich stacked-stone wainscoting that wraps around the entire base of the home. Above this grounded foundation, the facade features a beautiful interplay of white vertical board-and-batten siding, light gray horizontal panels, and textured cedar shakes in the gables. The architectural character is defined by prominent timber king-post trusses in the peaks and a deep, inviting front porch supported by square timber columns. This entrance is further enhanced by a dark metal roof over the porch and elegant windows with built-in flower boxes, creating a facade that is both grand and deeply welcoming.
The transition from the outside world into the home is handled with deliberate elegance. Stepping through the front door, you enter a central foyer where a soaring eleven-foot tray ceiling creates an immediate sense of scale. This entrance sets the stage for the heart of the home: a massive great room measuring over seventeen feet by eighteen feet. This light-filled space serves as the ultimate gathering hub, featuring its own tray ceiling and an angled fireplace that adds a cozy focus to the room. The layout promotes an effortless flow into the gourmet kitchen, where a large central island provides a natural spot for morning coffee or casual entertaining. Just beyond the kitchen, a casual dining area sits adjacent to two distinct outdoor spaces—a main outdoor living area and a dedicated dining porch—ensuring the home feels connected to its natural surroundings.
The primary suite is a thoughtfully secluded sanctuary located in its own private wing. The master bedroom, with its elegant eleven-foot tray ceiling, offers a generous retreat for rest and relaxation. This space flows directly into the primary bathroom, a spa-like environment equipped with a large walk-in shower and a private water closet. The bathroom serves as a sophisticated gateway to an exceptional storage experience. It connects to two distinct walk-in closets, including a sprawling primary closet with dedicated shelving and shoe storage, providing a boutique-style dressing area that ensures the sleeping area remains a clutter-free haven.
On the opposite side of the home, the secondary sleeping wing provides two additional bedrooms that share a well-appointed full bath. This split-bedroom design ensures that family members or guests enjoy their own sense of privacy and quiet. Practicality is woven into every inch of the plan, from the dedicated utility room near the master suite to the organized drop zone off the garage. The two-car garage is more than just storage for vehicles; it includes a dedicated workbench area for hobbies and projects. This home plan is an ideal choice for those seeking a layout that balances grand social spaces with quiet, highly organized private retreats.
